LTTS Licenses Modules to PBS TeacherLine
November 07, 2001

TeacherLine LTTS recently licensed 12 learning modules to PBS's TeacherLine system. Like LTTS, TeacherLine is an online professional development system which focuses on the practice of technology integration. Dr. Thomas Duffy, LTTS Project Director, said that LTTS is pleased to form a partnership with PBS TeacherLine as both projects have similar goals. "With LTTS, we are designing modules which help teachers learn to use technology to support student-centered inquiry and problem solving in the classroom," said Duffy.

Along with licensing modules from LTTS, PBS has also provided a grant to support development of video vignettes to enhance those modules. These video clips help teachers better understand specific practices of technology integration. Nancy Schwartz and WTIU, a project partner PBS member station, produced the videos with much input from LTTS developers, who are inservice teachers. The videos will be available with modules in both the LTTS and TeacherLine system. The LTTS modules licensed by PBS will be available in the TeacherLine system beginning in January 2002.
