C.L.A.S.S. Works Partnership with LTTS
LTTS is most recently involved in a joint development effort with C.L.A.S.S.WORKS (Connected Learning Assures Successful Students) to develop a suite of three 1 credit courses with the collective title: Ending the Bullying: Classroom Management practices for K-12 educators and administrators. The partnership with C.L.A.S.S. is part of an initiative to broaden LTTS’s successful professional development approach beyond technology integration. The classroom management curriculum greatly enhances the LTTS offerings by complementing the inquiry-based approach with strategies for managing the learner centered classroom.
LTTS and C.L.A.S.S. Works are currently seeking funds to move C.L.A.S.S. professional development curriculum into the LTTS online environment. C.L.A.S.S. has an established professional development program that focuses on an integrated approach to creating a classroom climate, a classroom community, and curriculum design and instruction that together support the teacher in addressing curriculum standards in a student empowering learning environment. C.L.A.S.S. typically works with teachers and administrators through a long-term relationship established with a school, providing workshops and individual coaching. Over the last year, C.L.A.S.S. has offered over 150 workshops to over 2000 teachers.
